Clinical and practical training is an essential part of nursing education at Dr. Shyam Lal Thapar College of Nursing. Students receive hands-on experience in a professional healthcare setting so they can apply classroom learning to patient care.
Through clinical postings, nursing laboratories, demonstrations, and supervised patient care, students develop skills in assessment, medication administration, communication, emergency care, infection prevention, and other nursing procedures. Training emphasises competence, confidence, compassion, professional ethics, and patient-centred care.
Students undertake clinical learning at the parent teaching hospital, Medicity Hospital, Moga, a 150-bed multispecialty hospital.
