Scholarships and education loans

The College awards one merit scholarship of its own, described below. It does not offer freeships, fee concessions, or a college loan scheme. The rest of this page lists publicly available schemes for which students here may be eligible, and where to apply, because a family that does not know these schemes exist cannot use them.

The College Merit Scholarship

A student of this College who is placed first in the State in the examination for their programme is awarded a merit scholarship of ₹10,000, credited against the fees payable for the following year of study.

The award is made to every student of this College who is placed first, so more than one scholarship may be awarded in a year — one in each programme in which a student of the College takes the first position.
It is a credit against fees. It is not paid in cash.
It is a single award, credited against the year of study following the examination in which the position was obtained. It is not a continuing award and does not extend to later years of the course.
Where the position is taken in the final examination of the programme, the award is made in cash.

Government and other schemes

Eligible students may also apply for scholarship schemes notified by the Government of Punjab and the Government of India. Confirm the current year circulars, documents, and last dates with the college office.

Banks may offer education loans against the fee structure and admission letter. The office can issue fee certificates and bona fide letters. Compare interest, moratorium, and collateral rules with your bank.
