Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery (ANM)
2-year undergraduate certificate-level course

Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery (ANM) is a 2-year undergraduate certificate-level course in Medical Nursing. Admission to the course is based on the counseling conducted after the candidate’s qualification of a relevant entrance test.

Nursing is the medical specialty of caring for the sick, and maternity care is a profession that focusses on providing help to the mother during work and pregnancy.

Nursing is an important part of the healthcare sector. Nurses have the responsibility to ensure the smooth functioning of health organizations such as Hospitals, Dispensaries, NGO’s, etc.

Subjects covered within this course’s curriculum include Anatomy & Physiology, Biological Science, Microbiology, Behavioral Science, Sociology, Psychology, Fundamentals of Nursing, and First Aid.

The program aims to produce skilled general nurses, with qualities such as:

Flexibility, adaptability, empathy, organizational skills, and time management.
Leadership skills, determination, and tenacity, the ability to conduct research.
Physical fitness.
Good communication and observation skills which are crucial to good nursing.
Constant alertness to changes in patients’ conditions and subsequent implications in terms of care.

Eligibility Criteria of the Auxiliary Nurse Midwifery (ANM)
1. Successful completion of the 10+2 level of education, from a recognized Educational Board.

2. A minimum aggregate score of 45% (40% for SC/ST candidates) at the 10+2 level.

3. Candidates must have science subjects in their 10+2 education.


Fee and other charges
A fee shall be charged as per Punjab government notification from time to time under the fixation Regulation Act 2006. Other college charges are also applicable like registration, examination, hostel charges etc.

Scholarship is available for merited and needy students.

Note: Fee and other charges once paid are not refundable, except if the candidate changes the college through the university as an approved migration (Re counseling). Your fees will be refunded after deducting the administrative charges for these migrations.


Examination
The annual examination each year shall ordinarily be held in the month of May/June as may be fixed by the university. For failed/ re-appeared candidates, the supplementary examination shall be held in the month of November/December on other dates as may be fixed by the University. To appear for the annual examination candidate must have the following:

Has been all the college Rolls for one academic year to sending the examination.
Satisfactory behavior and good character.
Having attended not less than 80% attendance( irrespective of the kind of absent) in the theory and 90% in clinical practice in each subject for appearing for the examination.
Candidate must have hundred percent it tenders( including 20 days summer vacation, 10 days winter vacation and 10 days sick leave) in each clinical practice areas before and award of the degree.
A no due certificate issue from the department such as account, a count lie, lab, Office is compulsory.


Note
The Principal has the authority of not issuing the Roll Number to the student for appearing in the final examination on the basis of non-completion of any of the above criterion.
